Student Engagement
With a passion for empowering the underestimated, Shannon joined the SoF team to help change the narrative that is often associated with children experiencing challenges. In high school, Shannon served as the Community Service Committee Chair, helping to plan inclusion-oriented events to celebrate and generate support for peers with challenges.
Growing up, Shannon witnessed family members struggle in school as they navigated their disorders and the biases against them. She’s also noticed the same family members exceed in life, going back to the classroom as professionals to provide the support to children that they were once unable to receive themselves. Shannon seeks to help other children with difficulties form similar narratives in their own lives by amplifying the sponsorship and advocacy efforts of the SoF team. Outside of SoF, Shannon serves as a Business Development and Marketing Associate for BDMT Global.
