Maeyee
Educator
Maeyee Barrette has spent the last five years in education supporting the academic, social, and emotional needs of her students. Maeyee also has experience working as a 1-to-1 aide in a Severe and Profound Resource classroom.
Prior to joining the East Greenwich School department, Maeyee worked for over 20 years in media in Massachusetts (Boston and Reading), New York, and Washington, DC. Her experience is in export sales, licensing, and brand management. Maeyee’s last position before “retiring” was working for the former English Language Learning division of McGraw Hill and helping them to integrate their exclusive license for educational products with the National Geographic Society. Maeyee holds a BA in English from Boston University. She “retired” to have a better work-life balance raising her two children.
Maeyee has volunteered for several organizations including the Exeter West Greenwich Parent Teacher Association, the Exeter West Greenwich Youth Soccer Association, and the Aim High Gymnastics Parents Association. She has always focused on improving the experiences of the community she was serving.
