Lauren

Head of Community Relations

Lauren's passion lies in helping patients and their families navigate challenging treatment courses. As a social worker, she runs support groups for patients in Miriam Hospital's cardiac rehabilitation unit and, in the past, has run true compass counseling for individuals, couples, and families in the Mass General Hospital oncology unit. Lauren studied psychology at Lehigh University and received her Master of Social Work at Simmons College. At home parenting her son with autism, Tourette's Syndrome, and ADHD, she has been searching for a similar support structure that would be able to give her family the same guidance in navigating their everyday world. She joined SoF to create an organization that will help kids like her son discover and hone their strengths using learning strategies that cater to their assets and needs.
